Happiness Restaurant - Durham

The Requirement

Operating across multiple levels, the restaurant needed an effective and compliant ventilation system to manage heat, grease extraction and airflow from a busy commercial kitchen. In addition, air conditioning was required throughout the premises to maintain a comfortable environment for customers and staff.

With three floors to consider, the project required careful planning to ensure that ductwork, extraction systems and cooling units were installed efficiently without disrupting the layout or daily operations.

As with all projects, Shield delivered a full end to end service. From initial assessment and system design through to manufacture and installation, everything was handled in house by our experienced team.

The kitchen extraction system was designed to effectively remove heat, grease and odours, helping to maintain air quality and meet current industry standards. Air conditioning units were strategically positioned across all three floors to ensure balanced temperature control throughout the building.

Close coordination was essential due to the multi level layout. Our engineers worked methodically to route ductwork and services in a way that maintained performance while respecting the existing structure of the building.
